We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated SEO Content Writer to join our Content Department. As an SEO Content Writer, your primary responsibility will be to create high-quality, engaging, and keyword-optimized content that meets client objectives and resonates with target audiences.

Key responsibilities include researching and writing 4,000+ words per day, employing SEO best practices, selecting appropriate media, adhering to company SOPs, providing support to the Fulfillment Team, and maintaining clear communication with internal team members.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of professional writing experience in digital platforms, 3+ years of digital marketing experience, and strong project management skills. A positive mindset and active participation in daily morning stand-up meetings are also essential for success in this role.

This is a full-time remote position, offering a hybrid work schedule, with a starting salary of $18/hr ($37,440 per year). We provide PTO for recognized holidays and are exploring options for additional benefits. Bonuses, raises, and promotions may be available based on performance.

Job Purpose:

  • The purpose of a SEO Content Writer at Green Marketing is creating high-quality, engaging, and keyword-optimized content that aligns with client objectives and target audiences. This role is crucial for driving organic search traffic, boosting search engine rankings, and ultimately enhancing the online presence of our clients through well-researched, compelling, and search engine optimized content.

Key Responsibilities:

  • AI-generated content is strictly prohibited.
  • Content Writing - Thoroughly research and write 4,000+ words per day of engaging, search engine optimized content for blogs, service pages, area pages, and more. Ensure content is accurate, self-edited, and ready for publishing on WordPress websites and Google Business Profiles.
  • Search Engine Optimization - Demonstrate expertise in employing SEO best practices to create compelling copy, including strategic keyword placement. Tasks include but are not limited to adding title/meta/alt tags, crafting geo-relevant content, developing content silos through interlinking internal pages based on target search terms, and more.
  • Media - Choose appropriate images and videos for WordPress websites, ensuring proper title and alt text based on targeted search terms for each page, post, or website.
  • Standard Operating Procedures - Adhere to company SOPs while actively communicating potential roadblocks or suggesting new procedures to enhance our workflow.
  • Support - Provide direct assistance to the Fulfillment Team as necessary, including completing tasks outside of SOPs to meet deadlines and ensure positive client outcomes.
  • Internal Communication - Maintain clear, prompt, and concise communication with internal team members and third-party partners through email, Slack, Zoom, and phone calls.

Experience:

  • Content Writing - Ideally possess 3+ years of professional writing experience, particularly in digital platforms, as showcased in a professional portfolio. Demonstrate advanced written and verbal communication skills with a strong mastery of the English language.
  • Marketing - Preferably have a minimum of 3 years of experience in digital marketing.
  • Project Management - Capable of managing multiple projects with diverse objectives concurrently.

Remote Work and Equipment Requirements:

  • This is a remote position that requires a stable, high-speed internet connection and your own equipment.

Working Hours:

  • A hybrid work schedule is possible, but you must be able to work 8 hour shifts Monday-Friday.

Performance Metrics and KPIs:

  • Overdue Content Rate: Maintain a low rate of overdue content by effectively managing time and adhering to project timelines.
  • SOP & Training Adherence: Consistently produce content that aligns with provided SOPs & Trainings, ensuring that specific requirements and goals are met for each piece.
  • Content Update Efficiency: Demonstrate adaptability and responsiveness to change by quickly updating and optimizing existing content based on new SEO strategies or client feedback.
  • Content Quality Score: Maintain a high standard of work by producing content with excellent readability, relevance, and depth of information.
  • Word Counts:

1. Website Pages: 750 words minimum.

2. Blog Posts: 750-1,000 words.

3. Social Posts: 100 words maximum

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Full-Time 40/hr week, $18/hr ($37,440 per year)
  • Payroll equal to our time tracker.
  • Bonuses and raises may be issued on an annual basis based on performance.
