The Role
We seek an experienced business systems analyst who can lead our teams within the specialty of design, development, implementation, modification, support, and decommissioning of new or existing software systems/applications, whether purchased through a vendor or developed internally. This position consults with stakeholders to gather and define requirements; write and execute test plans; troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues; draft training and guidance documents for system owners; develop and maintain system documentation; and prepare alternative analyses to enhance strategic business decisions. A Day In The Life
- Perform technical leadership activities on multiple large and complex projects that can result in changing, or complete redesign, of business processes.
- Collaborate on the design and development of systems, including artifacts such as alternative analyses, system requirements specifications, test plans, and software system/application implementation plans.
- Perform analysis to develop cost, time, and performance factors for various technical alternatives for new or modified computer software systems/applications.
- Participate in meetings to plan tasks, develop work sequencing, estimate costs, and identify resource needs for implementing new or modified computer software systems/applications.
- Work with appropriate business, technical, and vendor staff to troubleshoot, escalate, and resolve computer software system/application problems.
- Work is performed in an office environment. Hybrid work options available.
- May be required to work irregular hours (weekends, holidays, nights) to meet deadlines. Travel may be required.

Minimum Qualifications
Six (6) years of project management experience managing information systems projects.
OR
an associate's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field, OR completion of a two (2) year accredited vocational training program in information technology or related field;
AND four (4) years of project management experience managing information systems projects.
OR
a bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or related field
AND two (2) years of project management experience managing information systems projects.
OR
Master's degree in information technology, computer science, or related field may substitute for all of the above.

- Expert-level experience facilitating Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions with leadership, users, and developers to understand, gather, and document business process needs and technical system requirements.
- History of roles and work experience that demonstrates strong business process analysis and computer systems analysis skills.
- Experience documenting the requirements for a computer software application/system, translating those requirements into written system specifications that software developers can use to write program code, and developing test cases to demonstrate whether the program code functions in accordance with the documented requirements and specifications.
- Experience as lead business systems analyst for an information systems project that implemented a new software system or significantly modified an existing system's functionality.
- Demonstrated ability to work with various business customers and IT staff, including vendors and integrators, to deliver high-functioning computer software systems that achieve desired business outcomes.
