The Blog & E-Learning Course Editor will assist in the editing, formatting, and uploading of blog posts, courses, and other content. Strong attention to detail, excellent grammar, and communication are all essential skills. Experience editing and revising written content is required. Experience writing blogs or with SEO would be valuable in this role. This person is responsible for maintaining the quality and integrity of our core product, nursing education, as well as our blogs. Your job will be to catch all spelling & grammar errors, and to further enhance each course and blog before it is published on the website.

A typical day will include editing and formatting, selecting photos to enhance, and uploading blogs and courses onto our website platform. This person may also assist with writing non-medical blogs, such as a “Nursing Week Freebies” or “Interview Tips” blog.

In addition to that, you will work with the team in other capacities, as needed and with proper guidance, training, and support.

Skill Set:

• Ability to copy edit, format, and upload content, all using a platform that we will teach you.
• Ability to write non-medical blogs with clear topics & specifications given to you.
• A critical eye for basic formatting and design.
• Excellent grammar, spelling, and typing.
• Candidate MUST be highly organized and have a sharp attention to detail.

Experience/Education:

• Prefer college degree, but not required.
• No experience in healthcare is necessary.
• Experience editing and formatting written content required.
• Prefer experience writing blogs or other content.
• Knowledge of SEO (search engine optimization) is a plus.
• Experience with Canva is a plus.
• Experience with WordPress and/or Divi is a plus.

Responsibilities: (On the job training provided)

• Copy edit and format blogs and courses to ensure top quality.
• Select photos to go along with each course and blog, including thumbnail photos.
• Upload each course and blog onto our website (WordPress) using Divi builder.
• Write occasional blogs on non-medical topics.
• Manage miscellaneous non-editing projects as needed, with proper guidance, training and support.

Hours:

Working hours will be M-F 8:00-4:30. With weekends and select holidays off.
