This Supply Chain Manager role will oversee and direct the Supply Chain function for Materion’s Leesport, PA facility. The Supply Chain Manager will be leading the Leesport Supply Chain Team. This is a highly visible role, representing the Leesport Supply Chain in critical communications with numerous internal stakeholders and external customers. Collaboration with other members of the Supply Chain, Operations, Quality, Engineering and Customer Service teams is paramount to achieve the site level metrics.

 

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Lead and develop the Supply Chain team that is responsible for Long Term Planning, Short Term Scheduling, Materials Management, and Shipping

  • Communicate extensively to internal and external stakeholders on the results, action plans, and expectations moving forward

  • Create short term production schedules that have a detailed line of sight to expected throughput

  • Create long term production plans that show bottlenecks, utilizations, and drive actions to improve throughput

  • Responsible for ensuring the appropriate amount of raw, work in process, and finished goods inventory

  • Lead the communication with the CSR (Customer Service) team to ensure alignment between SAP sales orders and expected output

  • Manage SAP data including but not limited to material master data, production orders, queue times, and work center capacities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with outside partners that can both increase our throughput and provide redundancy

  • Lead the shipping function and responsibility for inventory management including cycle counts and physical inventories

  • Drive velocity on the floor by using Lean Flow processes including IPKs and Supermarkets

  • Lead projects and actions that drive process improvement, risk mitigation, and throughput increases

  • Turn data into insights, insights into actions, and actions into results

  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree (4 Year) in Industrial / Business / Supply Chain management; Advanced Degree is a plus

  • ASCM / CPIM / CIRM / CSCP certification preferred

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Supply Chain / Materials / Operations/Production Planning Manager with multiple direct reports

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience utilizing MRP, Capacity Planning, Demand Management and Inventory Management ERP software systems. Knowledge of the specialty metals industry a plus.

  • Advanced skills and experience in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint

  • Must be able to effectively communicate and work closely with various cross-functional teams

  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills with internal and external customers

  • Proven track record of successful development and implementation of innovative ideas with demonstrated business results

  • Strong results orientation. Prioritizes work to maximize bottom line business impact

  • Experience and proficiency in SAP software preferred
