FoodScience is looking for a Social Media Manager to lead hands-on content creation and organic social media execution across its portfolio of brands. This role focuses on developing platform-native content that increases engagement, strengthens brand awareness, and builds meaningful connections with consumers.

This is a creator-focused position where you will ideate, produce, and publish high-performing social content. The role requires strong creative instincts, deep platform knowledge, and the ability to turn brand strategy into compelling content that resonates with modern audiences.

This position serves as the main owner of organic social media content across multiple brands. Responsibilities include content planning, short-form video production, community engagement, and performance optimization.

Content Creation and Production Excellence

Develop original short-form and static content across platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest, and emerging channels. Conceptualize, shoot, edit, and publish engaging content that fits each platform’s audience and algorithm.

Create compelling hooks, captions, scripts, and calls-to-action designed to increase engagement and conversions. Maintain consistent visual style and brand tone while adjusting content for each platform’s format. Manage a regular publishing schedule across multiple brand accounts.

Strategy and Content Calendar Leadership

Build and manage content calendars for multiple brands, aligning them with product launches, marketing campaigns, and seasonal initiatives. Identify social trends, viral formats, and new opportunities, then adapt them into relevant brand content.

Pitch creative ideas supported by brand strategy and consumer insights. Work closely with Brand, Creative, Ecommerce, and Agency teams to maintain alignment across marketing efforts.

Community Engagement and Growth

Actively manage interactions across social platforms by responding to comments, messages, and brand mentions. Identify and share opportunities for user-generated content. Support influencer and creator collaborations by reviewing content and ensuring it aligns with brand guidelines.

Performance and Optimization

Track and analyze social media performance metrics such as reach, engagement rate, video views, follower growth, and click-through rates on a weekly and monthly basis.

Identify top-performing organic content that could benefit from paid promotion. Use data insights to refine strategy and continuously improve performance. Conduct competitive analysis to identify content opportunities and gaps in the market.

Required Experience

Candidates should have three to five years of hands-on experience creating social media content for consumer-facing brands. A strong portfolio showing original short-form video work on platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube is required.

Applicants should demonstrate the ability to increase engagement and achieve measurable performance results through consistent content creation. Experience using content creation tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or Canva is important.

A strong understanding of platform algorithms, current trends, and social media best practices is essential. Candidates should also be familiar with analytics tools such as Meta Business Suite, TikTok Analytics, YouTube Studio, or Sprout Social.

Experience in consumer packaged goods, health and wellness, pet products, or direct-to-consumer ecommerce is preferred.

Success in this role includes contributing to revenue growth, meeting margin goals through responsible promotional planning, and supporting continued market share growth on platforms such as Chewy.

Strong collaboration across internal teams, accurate forecasting, and detailed reporting on key performance indicators are also important indicators of success.
