Job Title: Senior GoLang Developer (Contract-to-Hire)

Type: 6-Month Contract to Hire

About the Role:

We are looking for a Senior GoLang Developer with at least 5 years of professional GoLang experience to join a backend-focused engineering team supporting the TruCare platform. This role is fully remote, starts as a 6-month contract, and is intended to convert to full-time. The team operates in Agile 2-week sprints and is currently focused on EDI 278 transactions—critical for healthcare and finance applications.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop new backend features and enhance existing functionality within the TruCare system
2. Troubleshoot production issues and deliver scalable, high-performance solutions
3. Collaborate with the Tech Lead and Business Systems Analysts to break down new projects into stories
4. Participate in daily stand-ups and regular 1:1s with the engineering manager
5. Gain valuable experience in electronic data interchange (EDI) with a focus on 278 transactions
6. Work independently on assigned stories related to new development, enhancements, or production issues

Must-Have Skills:

1. Minimum 5 years of GoLang development experience (non-negotiable)
2. Strong experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs
3. Experience with MongoDB and AWS Cloud (heavily preferred)

Nice-to-Have Skills:

1. Experience working in Agile teams
2. Familiarity with Kafka
3. Knowledge or prior exposure to 278 EDI transactions

Additional Details:

1. Standard hours: 9AM–6PM (no on-call during the contract phase; potential for monthly on-call if converted to FTE)
2. Close-knit team composed of 5 contract engineers and 1 full-time employee
3. Position is not tied to a specific project; intended to help staff up the team with long-term contributors
