Job Description:


We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Developer with a strong background in API integrations, Apex programming, and healthcare data security. The professional will play an integral role in designing and building a web-based patient eligibility verification portal within Salesforce, leveraging custom APIs and ensuring strict compliance with HIPAA standards for security and scalability.


Key Responsibilities

Salesforce Application Development

  • Design and develop customized Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, and Flows (Source: Salesforce documentation).
  • Implement role-based access control (RBAC) and multi-factor authentication (MFA) for user security (Source: Salesforce security best practices).
  • Optimize Lightning interface components to ensure seamless user experiences.

API Integration and Backend Development

  • Develop and manage secure integrations with multiple PBM (Pharmacy Benefit Manager) and insurance provider APIs using Apex Callouts and Named Credentials (Source: Salesforce integration best practices).
  • Implement OAuth 2.0 for authentication, while ensuring accurate request and response transformations (Source: API integration standards).
  • Configure robust error handling systems and optimize performance within Salesforce governor limits for high-volume transactional processes.

Data Security and Compliance

  • Implement strategies such as end-to-end encryption, data minimization, and automatic data purging (Source: HIPAA guidelines).
  • Ensure Salesforce setups meet all HIPAA compliance requisites, including audit logging and security protocols (Source: Healthcare compliance standards).
  • Configure secure temporary storage for patient records with automated retention policies.

Testing, Deployment, and Maintenance

  • Develop and maintain Apex test classes to ensure adequate code coverage above 75% (Source: Salesforce testing requirements).
  • Manage deployments leveraging Salesforce DevOps tools like Gearset, Copado, or Change Sets (Source: Salesforce CI/CD frameworks).
  • Conduct performance testing and security assessments to guarantee system reliability and scalability.

External System Integration and Future Growth

  • Design Phase II outbound APIs for transferring verified eligibility data to external CRM systems.
  • Optimize data architectures and refine Salesforce configurations to enhance speed and scalability.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including product managers, security specialists, and business stakeholders—to drive system improvements.


Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Salesforce development experience, including proficiency in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, and SOQL (Source: Salesforce professional certifications criteria).
  • Demonstrated experience working with REST and SOAP APIs, OAuth 2.0 authentication, and Named Credentials (Source: API design documentation).

  • Experience handling sensitive healthcare, insurance, or financial data, adhering to rigorous compliance standards.
