The Payroll/Marketing Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of payroll processes while also supporting marketing initiatives within the organization. This position requires a keen attention to detail to accurately process payroll and maintain employee records, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. Additionally, the assistant will contribute to marketing efforts by assisting in the creation and distribution of promotional materials, managing social media accounts, and analyzing marketing data. The successful candidate will be instrumental in fostering a positive work environment through effective communication and collaboration with various departments. Ultimately, this role is designed to enhance both the financial and promotional aspects of the company, driving overall success.
Duties
- Process payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy in hours worked and deductions.
- Maintain employee records related to payroll, including new hires, terminations, and changes in status.
- Conduct account reconciliation to verify the accuracy of payroll accounts.
- Create and update payroll related reports and other ad hoc reporting.
- Support financial reporting by preparing necessary documentation and reports as required.
- Familiarity with social media marketing strategies.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a clerk or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes and governmental accounting principles is a plus.
- Proficiency in using ADP Workforce now for payroll processing and reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- Experience with ADP workforce now.
- Experience with Marketing tools and platforms.
- Advance experience with Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with Adobe In-design or other similar software program.
- Experience with digital marketing tools and platforms.
