Salary: $42,464 - $74,313

 

The Challenge

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance/Construction Technician IV to join our Facilities Management team to resolve facility maintenance issues in state-owned buildings.

 

What You Bring

  1. Excellent knowledge of building codes in his area of responsibility and perform at the journey level in at least two trades (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, masonry, or plastering).
  2. Skills to perform journey level work in at 2+ of the following trades: electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, masonry, or plastering.
  3. Working knowledge of the methods, practices, tools and materials used in general maintenance and repair of equipment and machinery, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, drywall, roofing, locks, windows, plumbing, and mechanical equipment.
  4. Experience supervising skilled/semi-skilled contractors.
  5. Demonstrated ability to read blueprints and estimate repair costs.
  6. Computer skills to prepare and maintain routine records and reports.

   

Notes

  1. You may be required to work at another facility as directed by your Supervisor or lead mechanic.
  2. Unscheduled overtime may be required during building emergencies, and the role involves callbacks to assist with building emergencies after hours, on weekends, and on holidays.
  3. You will need to work during bad weather conditions.
  4. We may require you to become certified by the Environmental Protection Agency as a Type I, II, III, or Universal technician.

 

Education & Experience

  1. High School/GED Diploma, and
  2. 2+ years of relevant experience; or
  3. An equivalent combination of training and experience.
