HR BENEFITS & ANALYTICS MANAGER
The HR Benefits & Analytics Manager leads the array of U.S. Engineering’s benefit and welfare programs including insurance benefits, retirement plans, wellness program, leaves of absence, team member discounts, and company swag store. Simultaneously, this role is responsible for workforce data and analytics that help define and drive the department’s programs and priorities. This dual role involves a balance of information/work process analysis, project management, and execution.
This position could work in either our Kansas City, Missouri or Westminster, Colorado office.
Principal Duties and Accountabilities:
- Leads the administration, compliance, and vendor relations of U.S. Engineering’s well-being programs.
- Ensures seamless delivery of benefits offerings by serving as the project manager for the annual Open Enrollment period. This involves scheduling and tracking milestones, coordinating with outside benefits system vendors and the internal payroll department for accurate systems setup, and organizing a unified communication strategy with the benefits broker and the internal communications department.
- Updates content annually for and conducts benefits orientations for the MidWest region.
- Maintains compliance with PPACA, including tracking offers of coverage, enrollments, and distribution of tax documentation.
- Manages leave of absence (LOA) processes and communications which are both compliant with Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and all applicable state laws as well as coordinated with other company leave benefits Paid Time Off (PTO), Parental Leave, and Short Term Disability (STD).
- Sponsor the Wellness Program including promoting & hosting events, which support physical, mental, financial wellbeing of U.S. Engineering team members.
- Develop and maintain HR dashboards, metrics, etc. Run reports, conduct analysis of HR data, and effectively communicate the information.
- Ensure the accuracy and quality of HR system information by running queries and analyzing data for inconsistencies in the organization's HRIS, payroll, and other people management software.
- Optimize HR information systems to meet workforce and compliance requirements and create opportunities for automation, reporting, and reduction of manual processes.
- Support implementation and maintenance of the organization’s HR Information System (HRIS) and the development and maintain HR dashboards, metrics, etc.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration is required.
- HRCI or SHRM certification preferred.
- Five (5) years of experience working with human resources, payroll, or information technology environment is required.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Extraordinary and proven project management skills.
- Computer proficiency and technical aptitude to use HRIS, payroll, applicant tracking system, benefits, and performance management systems. Expert-level capabilities with Microsoft Office and Excel required.
- Accurately generate, validate and report on data; extract data from multiple sources, combine and manipulate data as needed.
- Ability to apply techniques and methodologies to analyze, manipulate and present data to Human Resources team.
- Knowledge of principles and procedures for benefits, compensation, and personnel information systems.
- Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others; demonstrate a strong customer service orientation.
- Excellent communication and organization skills. Detail-oriented and able to communicate and express ideas effectively both in written and oral communications.
- Strong time management skills, ability to multi-task and strong organizational strategies.
Benefits and Compensation:
- The range for this position has been established at $88,880 to $125,543 and is US Engineering Construction’s good faith and reasonable estimate at the time of the posting. The compensation offered to the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training.
