Position Summary

The SEO Content Strategist & Copywriter will be a key contributor to our digital marketing team, tasked with driving organic search growth and traffic for our diverse client portfolio. This role requires a unique blend of strategic content development, meticulous SEO application, and exceptional copywriting skills. You'll research market opportunities, architect comprehensive content roadmaps, and produce high-performing blog articles, website copy, and landing pages designed to secure top search rankings and engage target audiences.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  1. Content Strategy & Planning: Develop, own, and continually refine data-driven content strategies to significantly enhance organic search visibility, improve rankings, and increase website traffic for client accounts.
  2. Research & Opportunity Identification: Lead in-depth keyword research, conduct comprehensive SERP analysis, and perform competitor content audits to identify content gaps, strategic content pillars, and new growth opportunities.
  3. SEO Content Creation & Optimization: Write, edit, and meticulously optimize high-quality blog articles, landing page copy, and website content, ensuring adherence to advanced SEO best practices (on-page, technical considerations) and client brand guidelines.
  4. Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Monitor content performance using analytics tools, providing data-backed insights and actionable recommendations for continuous content refinement and optimization.
  5. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with SEO specialists, web developers, social media specialists, and client teams to ensure content aligns with technical SEO requirements, internal linking strategies, site architecture, and broader digital marketing initiatives.
  6. Industry Expertise & Trendspotting: Maintain an expert-level understanding of Google algorithm updates, evolving search trends, and cutting-edge content marketing best practices within the SEO landscape.
  7. Strategic Asset Development: Assist in the creation and optimization of strategic content assets, including case studies, whitepapers, and infographics, ensuring their efficacy for organic search.
  8. Channel Alignment: Provide strategic content recommendations for organic social media channels, ensuring overall alignment with digital marketing goals and extending content reach.



Required Qualifications:

  1. Education: A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Journalism, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent professional experience will be highly considered.
  2. Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of direct experience in a content marketing or SEO role, with a clear focus on content strategy and organic growth, preferably within a digital agency environment.
  3. SEO Knowledge: Strong understanding and practical application of advanced SEO principles, including on-page optimization, technical SEO considerations, keyword strategy, and content performance analysis.
  4. Content & Copywriting: Exceptional ability to create compelling, high-quality, and SEO-friendly content across various formats (blogs, landing pages, website copy) for diverse industries.
  5. Social Media Knowledge: Basic understanding and experience in strategizing, developing, and scheduling social media content.
  6. Certifications and Tools: Relevant certifications and proficiency in tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, BrightEdge), plus proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Docs (Docs, Sheets, Slides), and Social Media tools (e.g., Adobe Business Suite, Canva, Sprout Social, Meta Business Suite).
  7. Analytical Skills: Demonstrated ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable content strategies.
  8. Organizational & Project Management: Excellent organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  9. Communication: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for adapting tone and style to different audiences and objectives.
  10. Collaboration & Independence: Ability to thrive both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced team environment.
  11. Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills for effective internal and client communication.
  12. Travel Opportunities: Ability to travel potentially a minimum times per year.



Work Environment:

Must be able to read, write, and communicate both verbally and in written form to express and exchange ideas. While performing the responsibilities of this job, the employee must be able to access all components of the workstation and other office equipment. Frequent typing, writing, bending, and twisting. Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds.
