Position Summary:

This key position provides leadership, mentorship and management of the Food & Beverage Operation by establishing training plans for all positions in the food and beverage outlets, be proactive and enhance service and ensure all colleagues are following The Charleston Place Hotel Core Values. The successful candidate will assist in overseeing our Food & Beverage operation including all restaurant and bar venues as well as banquet and catering operations. The ADOFB will maintain close liaison with the culinary, restaurant banquet and catering teams to ensure maximum profitability for the division and hotel; the ADOFB will also have exposure to Senior and Corporate leadership. This position reports to the Director of Food & Beverage.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Partner and support the Director of Food & Beverage in the short- and long-term planning and the management of the Food and Beverage operations in the front and back of the house teams
  • Partner and support the Director of Food & Beverage and ensure to manage the budget, marketing plans and objectives Responsible for short- and long-term planning and the management of the Food and Beverage operations in the front and back of the house, inclusive of directly overseeing all Food and Beverage teams
  • Partner and support the Director of Food & Beverage in ensuring the recommended budget, marketing plans and objectives are being managed within those approved plans

  • Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the food & beverage outlets
  • Partner with the Director of Food & Beverage to oversee development of Food and Beverage leadership team
  • Hire, train, empower, coach and counsel, performance, and recommend salary reviews
  • Partner with the Food & Beverage leadership team in the direction of the implementation of the payroll, reports, forecasts, inventory and budget for food and beverage operations
  • Coordinate food and beverage operations with other hotel departments to ensure efficient guest service
  • Resolve customer complaints as appropriate to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality
  • Implement procedures to increase guest and colleague satisfaction
  • Exercise quality control for both food and beverage
  • Maintaining hotel standards of service and ensure their implementation
  • Performing daily walk-throughs to ensure full compliance with Department of Health regulations and hotel standards
  • Coach and counsel colleagues to reflect The Charleston Place Hotel service standards and procedures
     

Required Skills/Experience:

  • 3+ years or more of progressive hotel Food and Beverage experience
  • Previous hotel pre-opening experience preferred
  • Service oriented style with professional presentations skills
  • Experience implementing new F&B concept
  • Hotel/Hospitality degree an asset
  • Must possess the following strengths: proven leadership skill, handling high volume, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottom line
  • Clear concise written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficient in Silverware, Alice, Revinate, Workforce ADP, Resy is a plus
  • Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills
     

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of standing, walking, lifting, pushing and working on a computer.
