Who we’re looking for


Toyota Financial Services, Enterprise Tools team, is seeking a highly motivated Senior DevOps Engineer to help our growing Enterprise tools needs. This position will be responsible for building world-class platform engineering for our development teams, and will focus on automation, configuration management, and system reliability, ensuring seamless application deployment and performance


What you’ll be doing


Technology Strategy and Execution:

  1. Execute and maintain technology initiatives within CI/CD Pipelines & Container platform domains.
  2. Work with team members to implement technology solutions that enhance employer experience.
  3. Keep up to date with industry best practices and contribute to technology improvements; Implement the best software practices that produce maintainable code, including usability patterns, code style conformity, integration and unit testing.
  4. Participate in technical decision making and provide expertise in implementation approaches. Configure and support containerized applications (Java, Python etc), ensuring seamless deployments and operations.
  5. Introduce new frameworks to boost the team’s productivity.


Self-Service and Automation:

  1. Support and contribute to self-service tools and platforms development.
  2. Implement and maintain self-service capabilities and automation solutions.
  3. Execute process improvements and automation initiatives to increase efficiency; automate and integrate development and infrastructure processes so that we can seize market opportunity without compromising quality.
  4. Automate provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
  5. Act as an evangelist and champion the DevOps culture and be the change agent to help to foster a cultural shift in the software delivery process.
  6. Along with automation, they will focus on improving communication and collaboration that facilitate iterative improvement.
  7. Design and develop tool chains for managing and applying DevOps principles, such as CI/CD automation and IaaC (Infrastructure as a Code) on our Cloud-based systems.
  8. Define and implement development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation.
  9. Provide technical guidance on automation best practices.


What you bring

  1. Proven experience in designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-native platforms and services using AWS or other cloud providers.
  2. Must have hands-on experience working with and Mastery of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, or GitHub Actions, including their configuration, customization, and integration capabilities in progressively challenging environments.
  3. Strong proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Python, Java, Bash or Groovy for automation and customization of CI/CD workflows.
  4. Experience in seamlessly integrating containerization into CI/CD pipelines, including Docker image building, registry management, and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, Amazon ECS, AWS Fargate, including cluster setup, configuration, and management.
  5. Experience in test-driven development (TDD) approach for automation, ensuring platforms are developed with TDD principles by writing tests before implementing features.
  6. Strong working knowledge and hands on experience with Amazon Web Services including Lambda, DynamoDB, EC2, S3, ELB, RDS, EKS.
  7. Proficiency in infrastructure automation tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK, and AWS CodeDeploy for provisioning and managing CI/CD infrastructure.
  8. Experience with automating provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes.
