Capstone IT Staffing is helping our client to hire a seasoned UI Engineer with a strong command of Vue.js, a user-first approach to development, and a commitment to accessibility. In this role, you’ll lead frontend architecture, drive accessibility standards, and bring designs to life in a SAFe Agile environment. You'll collaborate with UX designers, backend engineers, and product teams to deliver performant, inclusive, and maintainable user interfaces.

Key Responsibilities

• Build reusable, responsive UI components in Vue.js based on design systems and UX specifications.
• Translate wireframes and user stories into accessible, high-quality web interfaces.
• Apply WCAG 2.0 standards and ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility.
• Optimize performance through techniques such as lazy loading, code splitting, and efficient state handling.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to backlog refinement, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Develop and maintain unit, integration, and functional tests using modern frameworks.
• Integrate frontend components with RESTful APIs and work with event-driven systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Uphold code quality with SOLID principles, peer reviews, and best practices.
• Identify and propose frontend architecture improvements and new technologies.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related subject.
• 7+ years of experience in front-end development, with a focus on Vue.js and modular architectures.
• Proven expertise in accessible UI development (WCAG 2.0 compliance).
• Deep understanding of responsive design, performance tuning, and browser compatibility.
• Skilled in modern tooling (e.g., Webpack or Vite, Git) and test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cucumber, Karate).
• Experience building and maintaining component libraries or design systems.
• Competency in integrating RESTful APIs and working with message brokers (Kafka/RabbitMQ).
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work independently on evolving requirements.
• Passion for inclusion, documentation, and continuous learning.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience deploying to AWS CloudFront.
• Familiarity with containerized environments (e.g., Kubernetes/TKG).
• Working knowledge of relational databases (DB2, SQL Server, etc.).
