Job Description:

About Us. We’re a growing learning and development company that creates online education and training programs in vital fields like driver safety, healthcare, and mental health. Our work involves multiple Moodle LMS and WordPress sites, custom plugins, mobile apps, and reporting dashboards to deliver meaningful learning experiences.

About the Role. We’re looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Technical Support Specialist to maintain and support our web platforms — primarily built on WordPress and Moodle. This is a cross-functional role that blends site administration, Tier 2 technical support, basic troubleshooting, and occasional light development.

You’ll handle essential support tasks such as processing WooCommerce refunds, updating WordPress plugins, assisting users, managing content, and applying light code fixes to themes and templates.

This Role Is a Great Fit If You:

  1. Have experience administering WordPress or Moodle (or similar platforms)
  2. Can write or edit basic PHP, HTML, or CSS
  3. Are eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
  4. Enjoy solving problems and improving systems for efficiency and reliability

You’ll collaborate closely with our sysadmin and senior developer — but we’ll count on you to operate independently, take initiative, and help us streamline support operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage WooCommerce orders and process refunds
  2. Update content and users in WordPress and Moodle
  3. Keep plugins and themes up to date and secure
  4. Troubleshoot technical issues (e.g., plugin conflicts, display/layout bugs)
  5. Apply light code changes (e.g., CSS tweaks, functions.php edits)
  6. Log, manage, and resolve Tier 2 support tickets
  7. Document procedures for consistent support practices
  8. Collaborate with the team to improve platform reliability

What We’re Looking For:

  1. Admin-level experience with WordPress and WooCommerce
  2. Exposure to Moodle or another LMS (or willingness to learn quickly)
  3. Comfort with basic PHP, HTML, and CSS
  4. Strong attention to detail and follow-through
  5. Excellent written communication and documentation skills
  6. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities independently in a remote setting

Bonus Points For:

  1. Experience supporting LMS users or Moodle course creators
  2. Familiarity with cPanel, WHM, or Linux hosting
  3. Experience using Git or version control
  4. Understanding of SCORM, LMS plugins, or basic xAPI

What We Offer:

  1. Flexible schedule (we’re remote-first)
  2. Opportunities to expand into development, server admin, or platform support
  3. A mission-driven environment focused on impactful education
  4. A small, collaborative team where your work makes a visible difference
  5. Competitive compensation based on experience and fit

How to Apply. Send your resume and a short note of interest to careers@lecticon.com.

If you’ve built WordPress sites, supported Moodle platforms, or have code samples, please include them — we’d love to see your work.
