Position 1: School-Based Mental Health Therapist

Location: Wake County & Johnston County, NC

Job Type: Full-time, In-person at schools

Salary: Starting at $55,000 per year

Job Summary:

The School-Based Mental Health Therapist will provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and families within local public schools. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with various systems, including schools, juvenile justice, and child welfare. This role requires flexibility, collaboration with school teams, and strong clinical skills to deliver trauma-informed care.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct intakes and assessments with families, determine appropriate services, and communicate with school staff.
2. Provide individual and family therapy for students, including those affected by trauma, abuse, or justice involvement.
3. Maintain a client caseload of at least 25 weekly contacts.
4. Coordinate with external systems such as courts and child welfare agencies.
5. Participate in peer review, quality improvement programs, and community partner meetings.
6. On-call duty once a month for a week, responding to urgent mental health needs.
7. Ensure compliance with all relevant documentation and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

1. Master’s degree in Social Work or a related field with an active license to practice in North Carolina.
2. Experience working with children, adolescents, and families; trauma-specific therapies preferred (e.g., TF-CBT).
3. Ability to conduct sessions in both English and Spanish is a plus.

Position 2: Perinatal/Maternal Mental Health Therapist

Location: Raleigh, NC

Job Type: Full-time, Hybrid

Salary: Starting at $55,000 per year

Job Summary:

The Perinatal/Maternal Mental Health Therapist will specialize in providing compassionate care to mothers and families during the perinatal period. This role is ideal for a clinician who has experience working with infertility, grief and loss, postpartum issues, or the general stresses of motherhood. The therapist will provide individual, couple, or family therapy, along with support groups, and will play a key role in building our maternal mental health services.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide individual, family, and group therapy for women and families during the perinatal period.
2. Lead the development and implementation of maternal mental health services.
3. Offer education and support to families on perinatal mental health issues.
4. Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans using DSM-5 criteria.
5. Collaborate with the broader clinical team, offering both office and telehealth services.
6. Participate in weekend and evening sessions as needed.

Qualifications:

1. Master’s or Doctoral degree with a current license in North Carolina (PMH-C preferred).
2. Expertise in perinatal and maternal mental health, with experience in areas such as IVF, postpartum, or loss.
3. Proven ability to manage a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings.
4. Proficiency in using electronic health record systems (experience with Epitomax preferred).
