The Opportunity:

As a Technical Project Manager, you will have an obsession for details, an intrinsic passion for excellence, and a talent for achieving successful outcomes for end users by driving decisions and anticipating needs. You will be a pivotal figure in bridging business needs with innovative solutions, ensuring that every initiative is tailored for success. Additionally, you will partner with cross-functional teams to shape the future of technology at Hamilton Lane, where your unique perspective and bold ideas contribute to our collective advancement.


Your responsibilities will be to:

  1. Steer critical technology projects from inception through execution to warranty, including new implementations, optimizations, and app development
  2. Partner with cross-functional teams to align projects with organizational objectives, strategizing on scope, deliverables, MVP, and success metrics
  3. Forge strong connections with stakeholders and dive into the details of their processes and needs to gather comprehensive requirements, translating business needs into practical project plans
  4. Proactively identify and implement process enhancements, ownership and user support, ensuring seamless change adoption and smooth integration of new technologies with existing frameworks and systems
  5. Vigilantly track project progress, optimize cost, identify and manage risks, and adapt strategies to guarantee project success
  6. Conduct Agile ceremonies, including Daily Stand-Ups, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives, and Sprint Reviews and Demos for your teams.
  7. Keep project documentation up to date in UA business systems like Confluence and JIRA, also responsible for creating project monitoring tools like Dashboards and Risk logs to avoid project pitfalls
  8. Oversee vendor relations and expectations for third-party implementations and enhancements
  9. Champion project management best practices, contributing to the growth and refinement of the PMO


Your background will include:

  1. 3+ years working within a technical project management function
  2. 3+ years of experience with modern project management tooling (Monday, MS Project, Jira, Miro, etc.)
  3. 3+ years of experience managing internal/external project timelines and roadmaps
  4. 3+ years of experience working with various project methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid, etc.)
  5. Project Management and/or Agile Certifications preferred but not required: PMI-PMP (Project Management Professional), PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner), PMI-RMP (Risk Management Professional), CAL 1, CAL 2 (Certified Agile Leadership)
  6. Demonstrated ability to manage project timelines, roadmaps, and deliverables effectively
  7. Proven track record of successfully deploying technology to large user bases (500+ end users)
  8. Exceptional critical thinking, attention to detail, time management, interpersonal, and organization skills
  9. Understanding of cloud technologies
  10. Strong experience in facilitating change and accelerating technology adoption
  11. Experience in Financial Services or Private Markets preferred
