This position exists to perform radiological testing and procedures on patients. What You Will Do
Performs a variety of diagnostic procedures producing high quality studies and assures that the processing of these images meets established quality standards.
Prepares written documentation as required by the profession, department, hospital, and accrediting bodies. Assists manager with ODH, MQSA, and Joint readiness. Participates and prepares in the inspection process.
Maintains imaging equipment and other equipment in efficient operating order; contacts and reports malfunctions and need for repair to the Department Manager or appropriate vendor.
Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of department and associated work areas in compliance with Joint regulations.
Demonstrates competency in RIS/PACS, and monitors various reports. Evaluate and correcting any QC concerns.
Maintenance of supplies necessary for the department operations.
Supervises and directs daily activities of department’s technical, clerical, and support staff.
Creates departmental staffing schedule for technical, clerical, and support staff while assuring department is staffed to volumes.
Evaluates performance of staff and coaches as needed, Including annual reviews and competencies.
Recruitment and retention of employees including on-boarding process.
Conducts staff meeting.
Conduct reviews and completes timecard, monitors productivity/OT/etc.
Promotes teamwork by assisting in all other departmental needs.
Assists manager with billing reconciliation, including Quadex, Cewl, and EBEW.
Assist manager with operational and capital budgeting.
Participates in committees as needed.
Participates in departmental research as needed Additional Responsibilities

Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace. Qualifications
Education
Associate's Degree (Required) or
Completion of an accredited 2-year program in Applicable Modality; (Required) and
Must meet education requirement for applicable modalities. (Required) Work Experience
5+ years as registered technologist (Preferred) and
5+ years full-time, post-graduation clinical experience (Required) Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Knowledge of modality, computers, patient transport equipment, O2 tanks, immobilization devices, perforator, and radiology information system. (Required proficiency)
Must demonstrate effective organizational, written, and oral communication skills (Required proficiency) Licenses and Certifications
Basic Life Support (BLS) Upon Hire (Required)
Must hold license in applicable modality (RT(MR), RDMS(CT)). (Required) Physical Demands
