Job Description:

We are looking for a store manager to take over the day-to-day activities of a busy mattress store. Candidate must be super energized, positive, have a proactive personality and excel in managing customer and employee issues. Candidate will also be expected to manage marketing/advertising, update website, interact on social media and take on special projects. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and as a team player. In addition, this role requires excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to anticipate issues, demonstrated problem solving and the ability to seamlessly switch gears. Computer proficiency is a must.

Responsibilities and Duties (including but not limited to):

  • Manage and resolve customer and employee issues
  • Help and manage salespeople on sales floor to ensure an outstanding experience for our customers and ensure salespeople have the tools to succeed
  • Oversee all sales transactions and inventory control functions as related to the POS system
  • Coordinate deliveries and scheduling
  • Update website and post to social media
  • Monitor advertising and current/future promotions
  • Assist in sales training
  • Consistently work to improve store performance by engaging in training and development initiatives regarding products, offerings and programs
  • Oversee and delegate tasks to the team to best maximize the efficiency of store operations
  • Help find ways to improve store operations (including evaluating expenses and increasing revenue) and improve the overall customer experience
  • Assist in maintaining staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training and terminating if necessary
  • Ensure store is an inviting experience and up to company standards with appearance, cleanliness, attractiveness and functionality
  • Be accessible and available to answer questions by employees and attend to any situations that may arise when not in store
  • Manage all day-to-day activities of the store

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Ability and willingness to learn and follow processes
  • Self-starter who possesses time management skills, can prioritize tasks, is well organized with strong attention to detail
  • Shows an ability to communicate relevant information to all levels of the organization
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage business and solve problems with little supervision
