The Lead - Print Shop is responsible for leading staff, making sure work flows smoothly and efficiently and is completed on time. Assists in implementing processes, supports, trains, and directs team members and coordinates day to day activities.
What your day will look like:
- Manage all specialty large format requests, approve/revise as needed
- Develops and maintains a menu of large format and small format items that are available to each division
- Maintains adequate inventory levels of all needed materials, while staying within set budgets
- May assist in screening and interviewing candidates
- May assist with time approval
- Ensure integrity of The Coca-Cola Company, other brand partners, and UNITED logo and image standards
- Responsible for receiving, reviewing, completing work orders, and/or assigning print shop technician
- Leads Print Shop staff, making sure work flows smoothly and efficiently and is completed on time
- Successfully manages time, workflow, and schedule to meet strict deadlines
- Assist Print Shop Manager and the marketing team with graphics design
- Manages print shop budget by taking inventory and ordering supplies as needed
- Meets with sales personnel on specific requirements needed to accomplish any special projects they may have requested
- Maintains a level of quality control check by proofing, reviewing, and color management
What you need to succeed:
- Minimum of 18 years old
- Valid driver’s license required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
- Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
- Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
- Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
- Ability to demonstrate independence, analytical skills, and strategic thinking
- Effective communication skills
- Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or 1-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from different levels of the organization
- Ability to problem solve
- Ability to follow directions
- Must have the ability to operate various design software and hardware
- Must have a natural ability to visualize design, dimension, scale, and the skills to generate solutions for challenging print jobs and volume of print work
- Good time management skills needed
- Excellent math skills needed to determine dimensions to apply to sign layouts and print work
- Customer service friendly
- Ability to lift up to 60lbs daily
- Will be required to stand on a ladder to apply graphics in customer accounts
