Summary:
- Roche Tissue Diagnostics - Digital Pathology group is looking for a highly motivated Software Development Engineer in Test who has affinity to research and come up with innovative solutions to the real-world problems encountered during software development and test cycle.
Responsibilities:
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop and validate SW test methods and tools.
- Manage the definition of test methods and the creation of test plans for new or updated software.
- Execute test cases on projects with varying difficulty.
- Write test automation scripts, code, and participate in code reviews.
- Help drive decisions about test automation strategies.
- Compose, execute, and assess results of functional and non-functional tests according to the defined by the test strategy.
- Configure and manage test environments.
- Perform regression tests to ensure software functionality for internal research and product software pipelines.
- Identify and manage issues and provide recommendations to stakeholders.
- Promote agile software development best practices and test-driven development culture.
- Provide detailed bug reports to engineering team using JIRA.
Skills:
- Ability to manage multiple projects with changing priorities.
- An affinity for problem solving, and the ability to understand complex relationships between product functionality and requirements.
- Proficiency in software and/or operating systems environments
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Requirement:
- Experience with developing test automation Framework
- Experience with Java or Python, Scripts and OOP concepts
- Experience and developing Rest / Soap API test frameworks, SOAP UI
- Experience working in an Agile development organization and JIRA.
- Knowledge Bitbucket. GitHub, IntelliJ, or Eclipse
- Knowledge of operating systems, Maven, Jenkins, AWS, Dockers, Safe
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Healthcare background and experience with healthcare applications is a plus.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, mathematics, or engineering
Pay Rate & Benefits:
- This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position: $48.21/hour-$64.29/hour on W2.
