Job Description

This strategic role sits at the intersection of marketing, product development, and customer insights, focused specifically on driving growth within the small business market segment. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive growth strategies that transform customer needs into actionable business opportunities. Working closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Design, Research, Analytics, Finance, and Customer Success, this role requires someone who can translate deep customer insights into measurable business outcomes while maintaining a pulse on competitive dynamics and market trends.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Conduct deep customer research to understand both expressed and latent needs of small business owners
  2. Monitor competitive landscape and broader small business market trends to identify growth opportunities
  3. Generate actionable customer insights to inform end-to-end marketing and product strategies
  4. Partner with cross-functional teams to drive prioritization of strategic initiatives and influence product roadmaps
  5. Collaborate with Market Research to identify and quantify customer needs and emerging trends
  6. Work with Product teams to improve funnel performance and provide messaging guidance
  7. Partner with Finance & Analytics teams to measure business performance and develop business cases
  8. Design and execute A/B tests for pricing, customer experience, and product concepts
  9. Analyze test data to generate insights and drive customer acquisition, retention, and reengagement
  10. Own weekly business performance reporting and establish KPIs for strategic initiatives
  11. Develop innovative strategies to position the brand as the preferred choice for small business owners
  12. Execute strategic initiatives while managing multiple work streams simultaneously


Required Experience/Skills

  1. 7-10 years of experience developing customer-centric growth strategies in technology companies
  2. Domain expertise in customer acquisition strategy with consumer-focused technology experience
  3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proven ability to use data for insights and recommendations
  4. Track record of translating strategy into measurable business outcomes across short and long-term horizons
  5. Demonstrated success in cross-functional collaboration and influencing without direct authority
  6. Experience with A/B testing, experimentation, and performance measurement
  7. Self-motivated with proven ability to independently lead projects and prioritize effectively
  8. Customer-focused mindset with passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences
  9. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  10. Ability to influence and build consensus at all organizational levels

Education

Bachelor's degree required or equivalent work experience, MBA preferred
