Direct Counsel is currently seeking a highly-qualified and motivated Senior Real Estate Finance Attorney to join a top firm in their Real Estate Finance Practice Group. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in real estate finance law, exceptional writing and communication skills, and a strong academic background. This role offers immediate client interaction and the opportunity to contribute to the growth of their national real estate finance practice.

Responsibilities:

• Handle diverse real estate finance transactions from inception through closing and post-closing, including secondary market repurchase facility work and other exit strategies.
• Originate loans for large structured commercial real estate finance transactions, including mezzanine loans and preferred equity.
• Manage asset management and workout matters as needed.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• 5+ years of experience practicing real estate finance law in a large law firm setting.
• Experience running transactions on behalf of lenders, including post-closing activities.
• Strong understanding of loan origination processes and exit strategies.
• Ambitious, driven, and team-oriented with a desire to contribute to the growth of our practice.

Job Type:

• Hybrid - Full-Time

Salary:

$245,000 - $340,000 DOE
