Information Technology Content Strategist and Writer

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Content Strategist with expertise in technical writing, data visualization, and project management. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with content management tools, agile methodologies, and a strong passion for leveraging digital tools to support organizational change management (OCM). Familiarity with New York City is a plus.

  • Minimum 10 years of strong hands-on experience in content management tools, project management, and data visualization tools.

Scope of Services

The Contractor will provide the following services:

  • System Modernization Impact Assessment:
  • Analyze and understand the changes incorporated into system modernization.
  • Assess the impact on both internal and external stakeholders, identifying challenges and areas for improvement.
  • Change Management Strategy Development:
  • Develop actionable change management strategies to maximize adoption and usage of the new system.
  • Design tasks to minimize resistance and support smooth transitions during implementation.
  • Communications Strategy and Support:
  • Provide guidance on effective communications strategies to ensure the flow of information.
  • Develop and implement two-way communication mechanisms for stakeholder feedback and engagement.
  • Support organizational change execution and evaluation across multiple communication platforms.
  • Digital Tools Design and Implementation:
  • Design, develop, and implement digital tools to enhance organizational and program management during modernization.
  • Creation of High-Quality Communications Deliverables:
  • Plan, research, and create clear, concise, and impactful communication materials (e.g., presentations, briefings, email announcements, and reports).
  • Content Strategy Development:
  • Identify content gaps and opportunities to develop a content strategy that aligns with modernization objectives and addresses public and internal staff needs.
  • Content Development for Various Platforms:
  • Advise on the development of engaging content for the agency’s website, public portal, and internal applications.
  • Messaging and Content Alignment:
  • Ensure the appropriate messaging, tone, and style of communications to align with the change and communications strategy.
  • Tracking and Reporting on Change Management Progress:
  • Track change management activities against the project schedule and update senior stakeholders on milestones and progress.
  • Collaboration with Project Teams:
  • Work closely with project teams and stakeholders to integrate change management activities into the overall project plan.
