Job Description:

Information Technology Content Strategist and Writer

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Content Strategist with expertise in technical writing, data visualization, and project management. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with content management tools, agile methodologies, and a strong passion for leveraging digital tools to support organizational change management (OCM). Familiarity with New York City is a plus.

  2. Minimum 10 years of strong hands-on experience in content management tools, project management, and data visualization tools.

  6. Proven experience in agile delivery and leadership, with the ability to guide teams and manage projects effectively in an agile environment.

Scope of Services

The Contractor will provide the following services:

  1. System Modernization Impact Assessment:
  2. Analyze and understand the changes incorporated into system modernization.
  3. Assess the impact on both internal and external stakeholders, identifying challenges and areas for improvement.
  4. Change Management Strategy Development:
  5. Develop actionable change management strategies to maximize adoption and usage of the new system.
  6. Design tasks to minimize resistance and support smooth transitions during implementation.
  7. Communications Strategy and Support:
  8. Provide guidance on effective communications strategies to ensure the flow of information.
  9. Develop and implement two-way communication mechanisms for stakeholder feedback and engagement.
  10. Support organizational change execution and evaluation across multiple communication platforms.
  11. Digital Tools Design and Implementation:
  12. Design, develop, and implement digital tools to enhance organizational and program management during modernization.
  13. Creation of High-Quality Communications Deliverables:
  14. Plan, research, and create clear, concise, and impactful communication materials (e.g., presentations, briefings, email announcements, and reports).
  15. Content Strategy Development:
  16. Identify content gaps and opportunities to develop a content strategy that aligns with modernization objectives and addresses public and internal staff needs.
  17. Content Development for Various Platforms:
  18. Advise on the development of engaging content for the agency’s website, public portal, and internal applications.
  19. Messaging and Content Alignment:
  20. Ensure the appropriate messaging, tone, and style of communications to align with the change and communications strategy.
  21. Tracking and Reporting on Change Management Progress:
  22. Track change management activities against the project schedule and update senior stakeholders on milestones and progress.
  23. Collaboration with Project Teams:
  24. Work closely with project teams and stakeholders to integrate change management activities into the overall project plan.
