Job Description:

Responsible for the coordination and completion of project/program. Oversees all aspects of projects. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project/program. Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project/program. May require a bachelor's degree and 4-7 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

 

 

This position reports to the Portfolio leader. A Project Resource Coordinator thrives in a fun and fast-paced environment, this position requires e-mail communication and an eye for data quality, utilizing a wide variety of project management scheduling tools to navigate resource assignments and allocations, create work breakdown structures, and aggregate resource capacity data. The Project Resource Coordinator will work within a team environment as well as communicate internally with other departments.

 

Primary Objectives

  • Develop and maintain resource assignments and allocations
  • Work intimately with portfolio and project managers to represent resource demand and assignment for the lifecycle of their projects
  • Aggregate resource demand, assignment and allocation data
  • Working internally with other departments to ensure that resource charge back data is accurately mapped to the right 'account'
  • Using project portfolio management and resource capacity planning software
  • Initiating process improvement projects within the department and driving them through to completion

 

1. Basic Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree
  • 1+ years with project portfolio management (PPM) tooling (e.g., Clarizen, Planview, MS Project, HP Clarity)
  • Experience working with high-volume processes
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
  • Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship

2. Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Aptitude to quickly learn new systems and software
  • Ability to multi-task & prioritize, with strong organizational and follow-up skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
