The Position:



As our Podcast Editor and Producer, you will be responsible for editing weekly podcast episodes that connect workplace topics to Arbinger’s work. We are looking for a seasoned storyteller who can efficiently create audio documentaries. You'll be responsible for curating content from interviews conducted by other Arbinger interviewers into thematic episodes in a way that addresses the needs of business leaders.



Roles and Responsibilities:



  1. Perform regular self-assessments using Arbinger’s internal 3A+ tool to gauge and enhance individual performance and impact.
  2. Create and edit episodes that follow the theme, format, and overall direction of the podcast.
  3. Creatively edit each episode by utilizing Arbinger’s interview library—which contains interviews hosted by various team members.
  4. Exhibit strong research and script-writing abilities to fill content gaps in episodes in relevant, engaging, and on-brand ways.
  5. Display problem-solving skills and initiative to address technical and creative challenges during editing.
  6. Work closely with the Executive Producer to ensure content alignment between the podcast episodes and marketing campaigns.
  7. Create and curate content to generate a strong followership.
  8. Conduct engaging interviews and professionally host podcast episodes, ensuring insightful discussions that align with the podcast's mission, audience interests, and brand voice.
  9. Deliver compelling narration, enhancing storytelling and audience engagement with a clear, professional, and dynamic voice.
  10. Perform additional duties as required, adapting to evolving needs and ensuring the success of podcast production and operations.

  7. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, and Calendly

  1. Proficiency in mixing and sound design, ensuring high-quality audio production and immersive listening experiences.
  2. Strong sense of urgency and responsiveness, with the ability to multitask and adapt to fast-paced production environments.
  3. Effective project management skills, overseeing timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure seamless execution.
  4. Strategic long-term planning and visioning, aligning goals, resources, and creative direction to drive sustainable growth and competitive advantage.
  5. Ability to create a warm and engaging presence, making guests feel comfortable and fostering authentic, natural conversations during interviews.



Preferred Education and Experience:



  1. Bachelor’s degree preferred, with a focus on communications, journalism, media production, or a related field.
  2. At least 2 years of recent editing experience (within the last 6 months) required, showcasing proficiency in audio editing, post-production, and sound quality enhancement.
  3. Minimum of 2 years of interviewing experience, demonstrating strong ability to engage guests, ask insightful questions, and facilitate compelling conversations.
  4. 1+ years of experience in podcast production or a related professional field, with a solid understanding of industry best practices and audience engagement strategies.



Physical Requirements:



  1. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  2. Some travel may be required.
