We are seeking experienced Draftsman/shop drawing specialist to support our estimators and project managers. In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise, comprehensive, and professional shop drawings and submittal packages to General Contractors, Public Agencies, Architects and other entities as required. Your expertise will ensure that all drawings meet project specifications, industry standards, and client expectations, contributing to the successful execution of projects.

Responsibilities

1. Develop detailed shop drawings and submittals based on architectural, structural, mechanical, or electrical design concepts using CAD software.
2. Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to interpret design intent and translate it into accurate technical drawings.
3. Review project specifications, schematics, and system designs to ensure compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
4. Incorporate revisions and updates into drawings promptly, maintaining version control throughout the project lifecycle.
5. Use computer-aided design software of your choice.
6. Ensure all drawings adhere to safety standards and construction best practices while maintaining clarity for manufacturing or onsite implementation.Requirements
7. Proven experience in drafting shop drawings and submittals within the construction or manufacturing industries
8. Strong understanding of technical schematics related to system design, mechanical design, interior design, graphic design or 2D animation is a plus.
9. Knowledge of construction processes and materials to produce accurate fabrication and installation drawings.
10. Ability to interpret complex technical documents such as schematics and system layouts with attention to detail.
11. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
12. A degree or diploma in Drafting Technology, Architecture or related field is preferred; relevant experience may substitute formal education.
