The Partner Marketing Advisor-Partner Aligned (PMA-P) role is key to Microsoft's partner management strategy as part of the GPS US Go To Market organization. The PMA-P is responsible for growing the business of top Microsoft services and GSI partners through strategic planning, executing, and landing impactful outcome based powerful Go-To-Market (GTM) campaigns aligned to Solution Sales Plays , and Industry priorities.

Responsibilities
Partner Marketing
- Build jointly crafted Sales Play and industry execution Go To Market plans that meets both the Partner and Microsoft business priorities, in alignment with expected business outcomes
- Execute Sales Plays and Industry GTM plans and campaigns by leveraging global and local engines, achieve targets ensuring intended impact on scorecard attainment – make impact visible to stakeholders.
- Identify and assign local and global budget to GTM Sales play, and Industry execution mapped to top managed Partners in the portfolio.
- Leverage global and local investment programs to drive marketing executions through standardized GTM services.
- Track marketing and sales qualified leads and reach results from GTM campaign deliverables, including but not limited to assessments, workshops, paid media and customer and partner events
- Achieve leads according to targets ensuring intended impact on scorecard attainment.
- Focus on marketing tactics that lead to customer adds.
Business Operations
- Plans, manages, and is accountable for allocated marketing funds and budget spend in collaboration with agencies and partners to help ensure allocated budget is properly spent, while considering mutual business objectives and goals with partners. Contributes to the investment process by helping to identify and executing on new/existing business opportunities to drive strategic impact for Microsoft (e.g., revenue upside, new device growth, optimization of investment buckets). Monitors and tracks business investments of the partner to ensure that they correctly utilize allocated budgets and establishes return on investment (ROI) and related benchmarks to ensure performance goals are met. Complies with budgeting and investing practices to ensure alignment with expectations regulations.
- Ensures privacy, brand, marketing funding, statement of work, store-specific developer policies, and marketing proof of execution compliance of products, processes, programs, and policies are followed across teams and functions. Seeks exceptions to policies with appropriate Corporate, External, and Legal Affairs (CELA) stakeholders.
Analytics and Insights
- Assists in pulling and collecting data and metrics to complete analyses. Leverages analyses to help identify trends in partner data.
Relationship Building
- Establishes trusted partner marketing relationships in order to work towards mutual business objectives and alignment to partner's priorities to establish trust and credibility. Serves as Microsoft marketing liaison to advise partners on best practices through strong specialization knowledge, while learning new practices and opportunities through the partner. Engages with key external partner stakeholders and decision makers on different teams. Ensures effective communication of marketing messages and product/program incentive changes through and to partners. Identifies gaps in current partner capabilities and capacity and seeks to build plans to address gaps to build partner capability and capacity and drive partner sharing.
- Collaborates with cross-team stakeholders to market products and enhance offerings. Builds trust and credibility in new relationships with internal teams, while applying expertise to the partner teams. Engages in managing escalations to and from stakeholders.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Business Development, Business Management, Communications, or related field AND 3+ years partner marketing, channel marketing, marketing advisory services, marketing, sales or business development experience
- OR equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience with any of the following: drive marketing and partner programs; product marketing; business planning; product management; customer and market analysis; Go-to-Market strategy and execution; competitive market analysis and positioning; organize and drive product roadmaps; develop insights from market research; sales enablement and field support; build and execute marketing plans and strategies; or related.
The salary range for this role in the state of Colorado is from $108,200 to $160,200.
At Microsoft certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
