Part-Time Academic Instructor (Remote)

Mindful Makers – Structured Homeschool Curriculum (K–8)

Mindful Makers is currently preparing content for the 2026–2027 academic year. We are hiring part-time academic instructors to assist with scripted content recording, platform training, and (after launch) grading and student communication.

This is a remote position with phased responsibilities.

Position Phases

Phase 1: Pre-Launch (Now – August 2026)

We are currently filming structured instructional content for the 2026–2027 school year.

During this phase, instructors will:

1. Record scripted academic lesson videos
2. Complete structured platform training
3. Participate in grading calibration sessions
4. Learn internal rubrics and feedback standards

Compensation:

1. Training time: $15–$18 per hour
2. Content filming: Paid per batch (rate discussed during interview; depends on grade band and video length)

Content is scripted. Academic alignment is predetermined.

Phase 2: Post-Launch (Beginning August 2026)

After student enrollment begins, instructors will transition into:

1. Grading assignments and projects
2. Reviewing AI-generated grammar feedback before release
3. Providing concise academic comments
4. Responding to parent and student messages in-platform

Compensation:

1. $15–$18 per hour for grading and messaging time
2. Assigned weekly hour targets based on enrollment

This is asynchronous instruction only. There are no live teaching requirements.

Responsibilities

Instructional Video Recording

1. Record clear, structured, academically neutral lesson videos
2. Follow provided scripts
3. Meet production deadlines
4. Maintain consistent tone aligned to grade band

Grading & Feedback

1. Grade submissions using structured rubrics
2. Confirm AI grammar checks before student release
3. Provide concise, constructive academic feedback
4. Meet 48–72 hour turnaround expectations

Communication

1. Respond to parent/student questions within assigned work windows
2. Maintain professional and structured tone
3. Escalate concerns to administration when necessary

Qualifications

Required:

1. Bachelor’s degree (Education or related field preferred)
2. Strong writing and grammar skills
3. Experience teaching, tutoring, or homeschooling
4. Comfort recording instructional video
5. Ability to meet deadlines and productivity goals

Preferred:

1. Experience with project-based learning
2. Experience grading upper elementary or middle school writing
3. Familiarity with homeschool families

Time Commitment

1. Pre-launch: Flexible filming batches + scheduled training hours
2. Post-launch: Approximately 5–15 hours per week depending on enrollment

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
