Qualifications:

  • Production supervisor experience or Operations Management bachelor’s degree
  • Demonstrates skill and success in managing operations in a complex environment
  • Experience with chemical manufacturing equipment and processes desirable
  • Must have strong skills and experience coaching employees for success
  • Demonstrates a positive, team-based attitude
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and creative problem-solving skills


Essential Responsibilities:

You will be a leader in managing fascinating processes to manufacture chemicals used in automotive, pharmaceuticals, electronics, agrochemical, and energy commercial applications. You will have a team of 9+ persons across multiple shifts & work centers spread across our campus. Each day presents unique challenges as we focus on improving efficiency, reducing downtime, and expanding our operations. The successful candidate will be motivated to learn and executes initiative to help us continuously improve.


Daily activities:

  • Develop and execute a daily workflow plan working closely with production coordinator.
  • Troubleshoot product, machine, process, and employee issues that arise
  • Ensure employees comply with applicable safety and quality policies and procedures
  • Prioritize and delegate tasks to maximize productivity, service, and quality
  • Responsible for reviewing and approving timecards
  • Accountable to ensure training is effective and records are up to date
  • Utilize our CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) to create or update maintenance work orders
  • Participates in some manufacturing or package operations working alongside our chemical operator associates
  • Encourages operators to participate in problem solving and continuous improvement
  • Focus on industrial housekeeping and personal protective equipment usage
  • Most importantly.. help to create a positive, productive, and safe work environment
