Job Description:

The Marketing Coordinator will function as part of the Marketing and Communications team to assist with building out marketing and communications plans in relation to NASPO ValuePoint (NVP) to help tell the NVP story while supporting NASPO and its mission, while also delivering high quality work, maintain an organizational calendar, have good time management skills, and be willing to ask for help whenever needed.

The Coordinator will track campaign progress, creating targeted marketing for NASPO ValuePoint, and working with the NASPO ValuePoint team in order to define individualized marketing plans for NVP portfolios and verticals. The Coordinator will manage advertising for NVP portfolios and will collaborate with graphic designers and the NVP team to create collateral to use in all marketing opportunities including, but not limited to, tradeshows/expos, trainings and kick off events in both digital and physical formats. The Coordinator will also utilize HubSpot analytics to set and monitor KPIs for various campaigns, website traffic, and email marketing analytics, as well as optimize SEO efforts. The Coordinator will have a firm grasp of the different digital touchpoints, drive highly effective digital campaigns, and deliver on marketing needs. The Coordinator must be able to work with a wide variety of management styles and personalities as this position will work closely with the Director of Marketing and Communications, Communications Coordinator, and the NASPO ValuePoint team.

 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support marketing initiatives.
  • Monitor and evaluate online media campaigns to keep them fresh and effective.
  • Envision and implement marketing campaigns.
  • Report on digital campaign performance and website analytics.
  • Optimize SEO.
  • Stay current on emerging trends and opportunities as well as be innovative regarding the digital marketing world.
  • Participate in various projects and campaigns from concept to completion.
  • Ensure the NASPO ValuePoint story is clearly communicated.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Marketing and Communications and graphic designers on content requested by NASPO ValuePoint.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Contribute to and help manage projects within the Marketing and Communications team editorial calendar.
  • Communicate well and effectively.
  • Work effectively with colleagues, considering critique and necessary updates throughout the creative process.
  • Other duties as deemed necessary by the Director of Marketing and Communications.

 

 

Approximate travel time: 5-6 times a year to various conferences or events.

 

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

None.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in marketing, advertising or related field.
  • Excellent copywriting and copy-editing skills.
  • 5 years of professional experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of Associated Press Style and Usage Guide.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of web and marketing campaign analytics.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Experience working with and adhering to editorial calendars.
  • Ability to pivot between multiple ongoing projects and deadlines.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral).
  • Ability to manage time and organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Acts as a strong team player with commitment to NASPO values of leadership, excellence, and integrity.
  • Ability to provide examples of past campaigns run, showcasing successes and/or failures.
