About the role
Provide the following within the context of projects with our farm and food business clients:
We're seeking a Marketing Contractor who can develop and execute strategies to drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention through data-driven experimentation and optimization across various digital channels. Key responsibilities include managing marketing campaigns, analyzing performance metrics, optimizing channels, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to increase revenue and achieve business goals for our clients.
This role requires a blend of analytical, technical and creative skills to find and refine tactics that improve the customer journey and drive sustainable customer growth for our clients.
- Strategy and planning: Develop and execute comprehensive growth marketing strategies focused on acquisition, engagement, and retention
- Campaign management: Oversee and manage various marketing campaigns across digital channels like social media, email, and ads (Google, Meta)
- Data analysis and optimization: Analyze campaign performance metrics, conduct A/B testing, and use data-driven insights to optimize strategies and improve ROI
- Market research: Conduct or utilize market research to understand customer needs and identify new opportunities
- Budget management: Manage marketing budgets and ensure efficient resource allocation
- Reporting: Report on marketing performance and key metrics to our clients
Campaign Management:
- Clearly define ideal customer to ensure all marketing efforts are focused and effective
- Create a marketing plan with clear goals and a defined budget
- Track key metrics and analyze results to see what is working and optimize your campaign for better ROI
Content Marketing:
- Create valuable content strategies, such as feed posts, stories, and reels that drive engagement and sales
Social Media Marketing:
- Creates social media plans with responsibility for social ROI optimization
- Manages day-to-day community engagement across client social channels, responding to comments, DMs, and user-generated content in brand voice
- Analyzes social platform performance metrics including reach, impressions, engagement rates, story completion rates, and social commerce conversions
- Monitors social media algorithms and adjusts content strategy based on platform changes and performance data
- Translates social media data into actionable recommendations for future campaigns
- Stays current on social media trends, platform updates, and industry conversations
Email Marketing:
- Nurture leads by sending newsletters with updates, special offers, and valuable content
Digital Ads:
- Create Digital ad strategy using Google and Meta Ads
- Track performance
Timeline
November 11 at 5pm ET: Deadline to apply for the role.
Week of November 17th: Will conduct initial interviews with Director of People & Talent.
November 24th: Final Interviews with Director of Marketing & Director of Service Delivery
December 1: Target start date, but we're flexible for the right candidate(s).
Portfolio
As part of your portfolio submission, we'd love to see examples of the following:
- Social: Do you have any examples of social engagement metrics that show the outcomes of your social media work/campaigns? Both in terms of click/engagement rates as well as impact on the business (increase in sales, other growth KPIs, etc.)
- Digital Ads & Strategy: Can you provide examples of a digital ad strategy/plan you have created or a mock plan and a video of yourself on the back end of both Meta and Google Ads showing how you like to go about setting up ads?
- Copywriting: Do you have examples of copy or emails you've created?
- Anything else you want to share that illuminates your skills and approach to Marketing
While we're ideally looking to find candidates with experience across all 3 areas, we're open to considering candidates who bring rich experience in 1 or 2 of these areas and who would be open to learning or developing new skill sets.
Wages
- $37.50-$45.00/hr for all billable time logged. (1099 position)
Good Roots has an internal pay structure based on role, skills and experience to provide for equity amongst all employees and contractor roles. We do not negotiate salaries outside what is listed.
