Job Description Summary:

The Marketing Analyst role supports the management of data sources, data analysis, reporting, pricing analysis and development of pricing recommendations. This role requires a strong quantitative background to review and analyze marketing campaigns, sales, seasonal and ongoing businesses as well as pricing using marketing data, current and historical company data, competitive data and trends. Collaboration across Analytics, Sales and Marketing departments is key to success. We are seeking an enthusiastic data-driven individual who is ready to grow their career in retail marketing.

The pay range for this position is expected to be $90,000-$100,000; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.    Develop and manage reporting dashboards for all marketing campaigns.
2.    Partner with the Analytics team to set up and report data on company platforms.
3.    Perform competitive analysis on similar brands, products and services.
4.    Work with large data sets, undertaking in-depth quantitative analysis, and distilling data into practical and intuitive strategies for marketing and pricing planning.
5.    Support marketing data analysis and ad hoc reporting needs.
6.    Provide weekly reporting on marketing campaigns as well as end of campaign and season recaps.
7.    Analyze results and develop recommendations for multiple marketing tactics including but not limited to Direct Mail, Digital Media, Social Media and Traditional Marketing channels.
8.    Analyze customer data, campaign data and survey data to inform strategic planning, customer acquisition and customer retention tactics.
9.    Manage and update price lists for seasonal and all year inventory.
10.    Manage Price list development, updates and review.
11.     Provide holistic recommendations to the marketing team on optimizations that can drive meaningful impact for the company.
12.    Synthesize large amounts of data to make business decisions and recommendations.
13.    Work cross-functionally with teams including but not limited to Marketing, Sales, Analytics, Merchandising and Finance to develop marketing and pricing business intelligence and reporting frameworks.
14.    Continue to seek out innovation for marketing data and analysis efforts.
15.    Completes other duties and special projects as requested by management. 
16.    Responsible for identifying opportunities to enhance technology and innovation that will improve departmental effectiveness.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1.    Bachelor degree required, mathematics, statistics, finance, economics, or in a related field preferred. Equivalent related work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.  
2.    2-5 years of Data Analytics experience ideally from a retail or e-commerce brand.
3.    Expertise in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets & Google Analytics, SQL. Tableau and R a plus. 
4.    Proficiency in business intelligence (BI) software, such as PowerBI. In-depth knowledge of statistical methods and data analysis.
5.    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; detail-oriented mind-set. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
6.    Proven ability to achieve results in a fast-moving, dynamic environment.
7.    Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong presentation skills.
8.    Interest and experience in retail pricing is a plus.
9.    Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly and manage change efficiently, proactively and in a positive manner.
