Job Description:

This is a highly dynamic position and will require a significant amount of flexibility, adaptability, and creativity at times. But know that your work will inform strategic decision-making at the organizational level and make sure that we have the most up-to-date intelligence on the market for us and our partners. Daily life will include conducting both primary and secondary qualitative and quantitative research, including using tools like IPEDS, BLS, Tableau, EMSI, Qualtrics, UserTesting. Your research will help Noodle cross-apply lessons and developments to support innovative thinking and create an informed point of view on potential innovations within the delivery of academic programs and products across various degree fields, academic offering types, and modality options.

As our Market Research Analyst, you will:

  • Along with Sr. Analyst of Market Research, engage with internal product teams to create primary and secondary research reports that support or refute the development of various products and/or services within Noodle and Noodle Shoppe (internal marketing services agency).
  • Assess market research data to justify or challenge new program and new partner opportunities presented to the company.
  • Synthesize and analyze primary and/or secondary market research data to provide product insights, trend data, and competitive intelligence to Noodle Product and Noodle Shoppe teams.
  • Assist in the preparation of market research reports leveraging secondary or government databases like IPEDS, BLS, O*Net, EMSI, and other higher-education-specific tools in conjunction with the senior market research team members.
  • Analyze internal performance data (lead generation through student enrollments) to identify opportunities for improvement and/or optimization.
  • Track industry and market trends to feed Strategic Annual Planning.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of primary research work, when necessary, including survey drafting, survey execution, and survey finding analysis and reporting.
  • You will assist in the creation of reports for our partners and internal stakeholders on the market context and opportunity spaces for their programs and products will be a regular part of life as we create mutual trust and set expectations for program and product growth.
  • You will be called on to partner with internal Marketing Directors, General Managers, and regional support staff to answer questions around program performance challenges or opportunities and leverage available data to provide market context and insights to the team. This could include researching and reporting on pricing, program specifications, admissions requirements, or marketing efforts from our competitors and how they may be influencing our results.

You have:

  • Preferably 1-2+ years of experience in a research role, utilizing both primary or secondary methods.
  • Preference for someone with 1 -2 years of experience in higher education research, marketing analytics, strategy, consulting, or related experience.
  • This is a remote-accessible position, therefore demonstrated ability to work remotely with minimal supervision under highly-dynamic workloads will be helpful.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with stakeholders to drive research efforts and actions from those efforts forward.
  • Strong reliance on the data to tell the story and ability to provide data to support or refute assumptions.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills to analyze, evaluate, synthesize, and present data findings; The ability to bring in data - both qualitative and quantitative, structure analysis, and derive logical, accurate conclusions will be critical.
  • MBA is a plus, but not necessary.
  • Analysis skills with Excel, Tableau, and/or other typical BI tools; Familiarity/Comfort with Google Suite also helpful.
