Desired Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in marketing, finance, business, technical sales, statistics, or an equivalent discipline.
- Prior “A-level” experience in technical sales or marketing (chemical industry preferred) a definite plus.
- Strong academic credentials may substitute for prior work experience.
- Above average computer literacy in MS Office, especially Excel, and the use of ERP Systems and other databases
Major Accountabilities
- Pricing Coordinator for $70M business segment, with responsibility for creating profitable margins for the business.
- Understand market factors such as raw material costs, freight & fuel costs, and industry trends to incorporate them into product pricing.
- ERP (Infor M3) maintenance. This includes entering, reviewing, and updating customer bid results, and publishing assembled data in the form of reports.
- Collaborate with the purchasing organization’s efforts regarding the requisition of raw materials for manufacturing and direct sales.
- Supplement the sales department by taking calls from customers with questions they may have about the market or their pricing.
- Effectively communicate verbally and in writing with customers regarding their needs, requests and changing market conditions. This may include SDS, Spec Sheets, Pricing Increases, Freight and Fuel Surcharges.
- Coordinate with operations management and the sales force to ensure accurate and timely delivery of product(s).
