Acrisure‘s massively valuable, high margin distribution network combines the strength of trusted advisors with growth and efficiency enabled by High Tech.Job SummaryResponsible for the oversight of assigned Client Service Teams within region pods to provide best in class agency accounting services which includes all daily processing of direct bill, carrier payables, broker and producer payables, accounts receivable, and cash application for designated Agency Partners. Essential duties will be performed in accordance with U.S. GAAP and will support Acrisure‘s management team and agency partners. Work in concert with the staff, Acrisure employees, companies, and customers to support the strategic objectives and values of Acrisure. This position will be located in Greater Grand Rapids, Michigan area.Responsibilities:* Responsible for the overall team direction & management of assigned staff.* Responsible for supervision, performance review, and development of staff. Collaborate with Agency Accounting Supervisor for management of team.* Work to develop an engagement strategy to ensure high performance of team as well as robust development and training plans for all team members. This includes ensuring complete and up to date desk top procedures and agency partner fact sheets and back-ups for all roles to ensure business continuity and delivery of all service level commitments.* Responsible for auditing & quality control of team data on weekly basis.* Ensure delivery of Service Level Agreements with Agency Partners - Work with Controllers to develop associated metrics to ensure high performance delivery of expected commitments.* Enable a culture of continuous improvement developing strategies to maximize efficiencies and unlock capacity. Responsible for maintaining department spend at or below budgeted levels.* Provide issue resolution to the team. Also, provide issue resolution to Controller & Agency Partners as needed.* Assist with variance research of financial data to the Controller, Financial Reconciliation, and Agency Partner (including the month end process, financial close, financial statements, etc.).* Manage month end processes & closing procedure with team & Controller.* Provide assistance & back-up to the Controller with data review, tasks and communication with the Agency Partner.* Process, procedure, and workflow development of team & agency accounting functions as a whole.* Collaborate and communicate with other Accounting Managers and leaders.* Coordinate and collaborate needs across client service teams.* Development of formal training for team.* Provide prompt, accurate, courteous, ‘best in class‘ service to agency partners, insurance companies, leadership team and all staff.* Develop, communicate, and ensure adherence of policies and procedures relating to Agency Partner accounting, agency management system databases and Acrisure corporate policies & accounting.Education and/or Experience:* Bachelor‘s Degree in Accounting/Business related or recognized equivalent of education and experience required.
