Junior DevOps Engineer Job Description

A Junior DevOps Engineer supports the development and operations teams by helping automate, deploy, and maintain applications and infrastructure. This role focuses on improving system reliability, streamlining CI/CD pipelines, and learning DevOps best practices.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assist in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
2. Support application deployment and environment setup
3. Monitor systems, applications, and infrastructure performance
4. Help automate repetitive tasks using scripts and tools
5. Troubleshoot basic issues in development, testing, and production environments
6. Work with cloud platforms to manage infrastructure
7. Collaborate with developers and QA teams for smooth releases
8. Maintain documentation for processes and systems
9. Ensure basic security and compliance practices are followed

Required Skills & Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
2. 02 years of experience (freshers with relevant skills can apply)
3. Basic understanding of Linux/Unix systems
4. Familiarity with CI/CD concepts
5. Knowledge of version control systems like Git
6. Basic scripting knowledge (Shell, Python, or similar)
7. Understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, HTTP, TCP/IP)
8. Strong problem-solving and willingness to learn
