Chitra Productions is currently seeking an enthusiastic, reliable, exceptional senior-level graphic designer to support a government client. The position is full-time and you will be working onsite in Alexandria, VA. You will be reporting to and working under the direct supervision of the Design Team Manager/Creative Director, as well as collaborating with a very supportive team of design talents.
The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:
- Proven design skills with strong conceptual and typographic sensibilities for print and web — from complex printed collaterals to user-friendly yet innovative wire frames and webpages
- Solid understanding and appreciation of cohesive impactful branding
- Ability to formulate and create original designs that also adhere to specific style guidelines and requirements
- Ability to manage and execute tasks from start to finish and document progress in our internal project management/workflow website
- Meticulous attention to details
- Positive attitude and receptive to proposed ideas and critiques
- Ability to follow guidance, instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Ability to multitask and work error-free under defined and, at times, rushed deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills
- Efficient proofreading skills, especially for misspellings
- Knowledge of creating 508-compliant and accessible PDF files of approved designs — this can be trained

- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or equivalence
- At least five years of professional design experience
- Efficiency with Mac and Adobe CC — InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat Pro at a minimum
- Basic knowledge of MS Word and PowerPoint
