Job Description:

AWHS is currently seeking a positive, proactive teammate to serve as our Gift Processing, Research and Database Specialist. This role is responsible for reviewing, reconciling and posting uploaded batches from various monetary avenues. The specialist will research and complete donor biographic/demographic updates, record gifts and pledges into the database, compare and confirm data entered prior to posting gift records, generate reports and data analytics. This position reports to the Chief Advancement Officer.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform review and data entry of gifts into Raiser’s Edge and RENXT. This includes the processing of credit cards, wire transfers, stock gifts, checks, cash and donations via numerous third-party giving sites. Apply all policies and procedures accordingly to ensure information is processed both accurately and in a timely manner into the database.
  • Perform regular reviews of the database for data integrity, duplicate management and record coding.
  • Manage the donor acknowledgement process by generating, printing and mailing donor letters utilizing Raiser’s Edge and Microsoft Word.
  • Conduct donor research inquiries by using the DonorSearch platform.
  • Develop queries and generate targeted lists and reports for online communications, solicitations, invitations, direct mail, newsletters and other constituent management needs.
  • Responsible for contacting donors to update their credit card details, as well as biographical or contact information.
  • Share direct contact donor relations duties of answering donor queries via telephone and email, taking donations, and fulfilling other donor requests.
  • Attended and participate in regular team meetings, donor events, training seminars and other school events as necessary.

Qualifications and Characteristics

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Three or more years work experience, with nonprofit organization experience preferred
  • Recent experience managing gift entry processes within development constituent databases and related donor/data integration platforms.
  • Raiser’s Edge/NXT experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong skills with MS Excel, Word, Google, and social media platforms.
  • Proficiency in database operations, data imports and exports, prospect and constituent management, gift acknowledgements, coding and attributes allocation.
  • Must possess excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, exercising exceptional attention to detail.
  • Must be a good team player with a strong customer service orientation and a willingness to occasionally work outside normal business hours.
  • Must have working knowledge of the fund-raising process and the concepts of donor relations.
  • Ability to understand requests for data to accurately translate requests into effective queries.
  • Must be able to organize and prioritize work, be proactive, take initiative, resolve problems, follow through, and simultaneously manage multiple priorities to ensure goals are met in a timely manner.
  • Strong ability to multitask and coordinate several concurrent projects.
