This opportunity is for a Senior Full Stack Engineer, Data Systems to architect and build large-scale infrastructure and web applications that power modern digital outreach and fundraising platforms.
This role focuses on designing complex data systems, building high-performance APIs, and developing scalable, data-intensive web applications using modern frameworks and cloud-native technologies.
What You’ll Do
- Architect complex data systems to support high-volume digital fundraising and outreach programs.
- Build and maintain APIs that enable programmatic integrations with external technology vendors and partner organizations.
- Integrate large volumes of third-party data into existing systems, managing billions of datapoints and high request throughput.
- Design scalable, reliable infrastructure capable of handling thousands of requests per second at peak load.
- Leverage AI-powered tools to accelerate development workflows and ensure seamless integration with AI-driven customer systems.
- Contribute to engineering best practices around testing, code quality, security, and automation.
- Mentor engineers and help cultivate a collaborative, high-performing engineering culture.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience building and deploying large-scale, data-intensive web applications.
- Strong proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript, or demonstrated ability to learn quickly.
- Experience working with backend frameworks such as Django Rest Framework and modern frontend frameworks such as Next.js.
- Deep familiarity with cloud-hosted databases, distributed data pipelines, and large-scale event processing systems.
- Experience with technologies such as BigQuery, Kafka, PySpark, Apache Flink, ElasticSearch, ClickHouse, or similar tools.
- Proven ability to design scalable APIs and manage data performance at scale.
- Product-oriented mindset with experience leading large projects and mentoring other engineers.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Authorization to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship available).
Pay and Benefits
Status: Full-time
Base Salary Range: $190,000–$230,000 per year
Additional Compensation: Equity grant based on experience
