We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Front-End Web Developer to join our team at MediaTree Advertising. In this role, you’ll play a key part in maintaining and enhancing our websites, collaborating on new projects, and ensuring all company websites and online presence meet high standards for performance, accessibility, and search engine visibility. Duties & Responsibilities
- Website Management: Oversee the functionality, maintenance, and updates for all company websites within the WordPress environment, ensuring a seamless user experience.
- Maintain Healthy Websites: Keep our sites running smoothly by managing plugins, themes, and core updates, resolving technical issues, and ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Develop New Websites: Partner with our designer to build fresh, user-friendly, responsive websites that reflect our clients’ brands and meet modern standards.
- Technical SEO & Site Performance: Identify and resolve website issues related to indexing, crawlability, site speed, mobile usability, schema markup, and structured data implementation.
- Ensure WordPress Security & Compliance: Ensure website security best practices, manage user roles and permissions, and maintain compliance with accessibility standards (ADA) and data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA).
- Boost SEO Performance: Improve search rankings through on-page optimization, keyword research, technical SEO, link-building initiatives, content updates, and collaboration on blog and content strategies.
- Content Optimization: Collaborate with content creators to implement SEO best practices, optimize on-page elements, and ensure content is structured for maximum visibility.
- Improve Conversion Rates: Implement strategies to improve website conversions through A/B testing, UX enhancements, and landing page optimization.
- Collaborate Effectively: Work closely with team members and communicate clearly to align on project goals and timelines.
- Stay Organized: Manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently, maintaining a proactive and detail-oriented approach.
- Stay Updated: Keep up with the latest WordPress advancements, SEO trends, Google algorithm updates, and emerging web technologies to maintain competitive positioning.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Proven experience in front-end web development, with a portfolio or examples of past work. Three or more years of experience preferred.
- Understanding of the entire web development process, with an emphasis on front-end design and development
- Strong skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WordPress.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices and tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, SEM Rush, Yoast).
- Understanding of web accessibility standards and legal compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- A hardworking, organized individual who thrives in a dynamic environment.
- A willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges and technologies.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Flexibility to adapt to changing instructions and requirements
- Bonus: Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) or basic back-end knowledge (e.g., PHP, SQL).
