Are you a parent or caregiver who loves going out with your kids and would like to write about your adventures? Mommy Poppins, a nationwide parenting website, is inviting applications from talented freelance writers in and around the Montclair, Maplewood and South Orange areas to cover family activities in our great garden state.

If you have an encyclopedic knowledge of your local family goings-on, or love research the best things to do in your area with kids, this is an opportunity to share your knowledge with other families.

We are particularly interested in writers who are able to cover openings, activities and performances in person. We also accept pitches and prefer to build an ongoing relationship with writers looking to contribute regularly.

Requirements:

• Able to produce compelling, accurate and clean copy.

• Good research and fact-checking skills

• Available to cover family activities in person in your local area (when safe to do so)

• Able to take postcard-worthy photos

• Comfortable submitting content into CMS (content management system)

This is a work-from-home, freelance opportunity. Compensation is a flat fee per post.
