Food & Beverage Service Supervisor oversees and coordinates day to day operations of the Casino Services (Front of the House). Plans, organizes, directs and train to achieve objectives in sales, cost, and other activities of an organization or department that serves food and beverages.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Directly supervises all casino service staff assigned to his/her shift in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws including casino servers, Lead Porters, Porters, Bartenders, Barbacks, Deli Attendants and Food Cashiers.
- Trains new staff. Objectively evaluates current staff and makes necessary recommendations for appraisal, discipline and all aspects of performance by following company policy and procedures and adhering to labor laws in a fair and consistent manner.
- Responsible for camera reviews as needed and reporting and documenting all investigation/review findings for appropriate action.
- Takes summary reports on cashiers in casino services, team caf, legends deli and all service bars.
- Responsible for compliance to Liquor Liability during the assigned shift.
- Initiates requisitions, work orders, incident reports, history sheets, accident reports and other department paperwork for supervisor's approval.
- Responsible for payroll adjustments and vacation requests are submitted to the F&B office in a prompt manner in compliance with Wage & Hour laws.
- Completes daily front of the house shift inspection checklist.
- Controls cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with casino policies and procedures.
- Ensures compliance with all Food and Beverage controls including requisition of goods, cash handling procedures and server/bartender protocols.
- Takes summary reports on cashiers in casino services locations such as Team Cafe, Legends Deli and all Service bars or any other assigned area. Will also be required to supervisor food and beverage cashiers when needed.
- Assists with any other events as needed.
- Ensures proper and economical use of equipment, supplies and facility.
- Ensures that assigned work area is maintained in a safe condition.
- Represents Parkwest Bicycle Casino well in all contacts. Works as a team member. Maintains cultural sensitivity at all times.
- Maintains familiarity with Parkwest Bicycle Casino policies and procedures and other applicable regulations. Performs job duties accordingly.
- Has a thorough understanding of safety and emergency policies and procedures.
- Must be able to work overtime when necessary and available to work any given shift in a 24/7 industry.
- The Bicycle Hotel & Casino is a customer service business and, as such, customer relations is an essential job duty and responsibility of every team member.
- Other job-related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Associate degree in business preferred. High School diploma or General Education Diploma and at least three years related experience in high volume restaurant operation and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous supervisory experience required.
* Must have active California Food Handler Certificate and Manager's Food Safety Certification as required by the Health Department.
