Job Description:

Our client is seeking a Finance Project Manager to join their team, supporting the business valuation processes by assisting clients, managing data, and ensuring smooth operations. The role is a great entry point for someone interested in financial services or consulting — especially if you enjoy data, working with clients, and are comfortable managing lots of moving parts.

As a Project Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate data collection, helping clients navigate our valuation questionnaire, and organizing financial and contractual information critical to our valuation models. Your work will directly contribute to the efficiency of our valuation engagements, making it easier for our analysts to provide clients with accurate and timely valuation reports. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop expertise in business valuation, financial services, and data-driven decision-making. You will gain exposure to financial modeling processes, interact with a variety of business owners, and build a foundation for future career growth within the firm.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in managing client interactions and data integrity. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Excel, and Word, is required. Experience with Salesforce and Tableau is a plus, as is a willingness to learn and grow within the financial services industry.

Compensation: $50-$60K/yr DOE

Availability: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm.

Job Duties:

  1. Client Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding our valuation questionnaire, addressing inquiries, and providing guidance to ensure accurate and complete data submission.
  2. Data Management: Input, review, and verify client-provided data, maintaining high standards of accuracy. Extract essential financial and contractual information for integration into our internal databases.
  3. Financial Modeling Preparation: Assist in organizing and structuring data to facilitate the development of financial models and valuation reports.
  4. Client Engagement Monitoring: Track client interactions, ensuring consistent follow-ups and sustained engagement throughout the valuation process. Maintain ongoing communication with clients enrolled in our Annual Valuation Program.
  5. Process Improvement: Collaborate with team members to identify opportunities for enhancing workflow efficiency and effectiveness within the valuation department.

Qualifications:

  1. Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word. Experience with Salesforce and Tableau is advantageous.
  2. Organizational Skills: Exceptional ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
  3. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on client service and teamwork.
  4. Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to data entry and document management, ensuring precision in all tasks.
  5. Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  6. Industry Interest: A keen interest in business valuations, financial services, or consulting, with a willingness to pursue the Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) designation in the future.
