The Town of North Kingstown is seeking an experienced Engineering Technician for the North Kingstown Department of Public Works. The Engineering Technician will perform a variety of para-professional services in civil engineering.

Assists the Town Engineer with plan review, preparation of preliminary and final plans and specifications for public works projects; Assists the Town Engineer with pavement management and inspection; provides lines and grades for highway projects; prepares cost estimates; responsible for initiating, directing, tracking and completing work order requests; reviews excavation permits; performs field inspections; Able to provide direct assistance during emergency situations including storm events.

Graduation from an accredited college with major course work in civil engineering or equivalent construction experience and training. Knowledge of Microsoft products including Word and Excel.

Pay Range of $58,800- $62,000
