This position is for a mid career Avionics Subsystem Engineer. The candidate selected for this will position will be responsible for developing and integrating avionics subsystems for the C-130J, C-5 and P-3 aircraft for the AMMM Processors and Displays team. The selected individual will be responsible for success full completion of hardware/software product developments, modifications and/or Commercial-Off-the Shelf (COTS) procurements. General responsibilities include support for proposal preparations, requirement definitions, technical subcontract management, addressing risks and opportunities, integration and test, and fielding technical questions from within the company as well as from suppliers and customers. A well-qualified applicant will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and critical thinking skills.
A level 3 employee Typically has 5 - 10 years of professional experience.
**Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.**

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering
Experience in developing Avionics subsystems
Experience in Supplier Management
System integration and test of software intensive systems
Desired Skills:
Experience in development of Avionics Hardware - at board /component level
Experience with MIL-STD-1553 and/or ARINC 429 interfaces
Working knowledge of DO-178C and DO-254 processes
