Dr. Berg Nutritionals is seeking an experienced Meta Social Media Specialist with expertise in Facebook and Instagram who thrives by following the data to drive decisions for social media presence through effective management of scheduling, trending and organic campaign management.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Post Creation: Using our approved graphics, videos and content, create copy for the posts, CTAs, shortened links, and all other necessary components depending on the specific platform. These posts will go through a review process and need to be pushed through the workflow in a timely manner.
  • Scheduling and Publishing: Using social media management tools to schedule approved posts at designated times to reach the target audience.
  • Community Management: Engaging with followers by posting polls and surveys, determined by Public Outreach & Communications Manager.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Monitoring the performance of social media posts using analytics tools. This involves tracking metrics such as engagement, reach, and conversion rates, and using this data to refine strategies as directed to meet targets.
  • Trend Monitoring: Keeping up with social media trends, platform updates, and industry news to ensure the brand remains relevant and utilizes new opportunities for engagement. Weekly presentation of statistics/trends will be required based on an established format.
  • Organic Campaign Management: Executing social media organic campaigns in alignment with Public Outreach & Communications Manager to promote products, services, or events. This includes defining target audiences and measuring the effectiveness of the campaigns.
  • Crisis Management: Escalating negative PR issues that arise on social media to the Public Outreach & Communications Manager, providing a plan to respond with tact and professionalism protecting the brand’s reputation. Coordinate, as needed, with the Moderation team.

 

Qualifications & Skills Required

  • Industry specific experience:
  • Four years working as a Social Media Specialist or similar role on Meta (Facebook/Instagram) accounts over 100k followers per channel.
  • Experience working with a personal brand, with demonstrated ability to connect with audiences.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Skilled in developing audiences across Facebook and Instagram social media platforms.
  • Ability to establish metrics which grow audiences in size and engagement.
  • Results driven multi-platform social media planner with experience on social media platforms including Facebook and Instagram and their practices and policies.
  • Technical skills:
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret metrics and generate action steps.
  • Proven success in using metric data for forward-thinking plans.
  • Knowledge of basic graphic design with ability to eye for aesthetic content.
  • Constantly driven to stay on top of social media trends.
  • Ability to ensure assigned tasks are completed accurately and within established deadlines, consistently maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Remote work experience.
  • Organized with solid multi-tasking ability which thrives in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment.
  • Problem solver attitude.
  • Ability to communicate well with different types of personalities.

 

Work from Home Requirements

  • Up-to-date PC with Windows or MacOS operating system, anti-virus protection, and reliable high-speed internet connection.
  • Stable Wi-Fi connection, suitable computer, and a quiet workspace conducive to remote work.
  • Employees are expected to ensure their work environment is conducive to productivity, free from major distractions and without any conflicting responsibilities during scheduled shifts.
  • Tech-savvy approach to everyday tasks and communication is imperative.
  • Must be comfortable and experienced using Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Outlook, OneNote, PowerPoint, Project, Teams, Word, etc.) and able to learn and navigate new computer software.

 

Please note that this is a contract-to-hire position. After a brief orientation period and an opportunity for you to showcase your skills, you will be offered a full-time employment position.

This position requires a short test to qualify our candidates, and you will be asked to complete this test before further consideration.

 

Pay: $35-40/hour depending on experience

Type: Contract to hire after 3 weeks

Position Hours: Monday – Friday 9am - 6pm EST
