Job Summary
The Director of Advancement will be responsible for raising funds needed for the fiscal health of Texas Girls & Boys Ranch to meet the annual budget requirements. The Director of Advancement will oversee fundraising activities, including social media content, fundraising events, written fund appeals, volunteer coordination, individual donor relations, marketing publications, and marketing strategies. The Director of Advancement will also directly supervise the Advancement team.
Responsibilities
- Plan and manage the fundraising program to include the annual fund, gifts for special projects and endowment, major and planned gifts, and grants.
- Travel to meet with donors and prospects as required and prepare the President for meetings with prospects and donors.
- Supervise Advancement staff in the performance of their assigned duties.
- Manage donor recognition and stewardship programs.
- Serve as staff liaison for any Board committee relevant to fundraising, donor relations and marketing/communication.
- Manage the department budget and expenses.
- Meet prospective donors and supporters on a continual basis to establish effective communications.
- Develop an annual fundraising and special events plan for Texas Girls & Boys Ranch, including elements of individual donor acquisition, major gift planning, corporate fundraising, grant writing, and special events efforts.
- Demonstrate cultural sensitivity to clients, employees, and community with regard to any ethnic, race, or socio-economic group.
- Establish target goals (financial) for each area of fund raising.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of fundraising experience.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in supervisory or leadership positions.
- Ability to create opportunities for financial growth in support of an ever-expanding array of services for children and families.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
