Summary

The Director, Clinical Scientist is part of the clinical team dedicated to the development and execution of clinical strategies and the clinical and operational implementation of the compound program. The Clinical Scientist provides active scientific contributions to the cross-functional clinical team and provides input into the development plan. The Clinical Scientist is responsible for working closely with the Medical Monitor in all aspects related to monitoring of the clinical trial.

Responsibilities:

• Study Responsible Scientist for 1-2 clinical studies, supporting the medical monitor in all clinical trial-related activities, including:
• Supporting Clinical Operations during startup activities, while the trial is ongoing and during close-out.
• Drafting of study documents, such as protocol, amendments, informed consent documents, IB updates, and clinical study reports.
• Communication with site staff.
• Assisting Data Management and the Medical Monitor with data cleaning.
• Preparation of data presentations for internal or external meetings.
• Development of study training materials/documents.
• Preparing and presenting content for Site Initiation Visits (SIVs) or other investigator or clinical site outreach activities.
• Review/co-author medical publications emerging from clinical trial results.
• Assisting with drafting regulatory documents and with responses to questions from Ethics Committees and Health Authorities
• Participating in generating the clinical development plan.
• Participating in cross-functional team meetings.
• Supporting general clinical/medical affairs activities
• Reviews medical literature related to the compound and/or its development.

Requirements

• PhD/PharmD with 5+ years of industry clinical research experience in oncology; cBS/MS/RN will be considered with additional industry and drug development experience
• Experience in both early and late-stage drug development, with a preference for early oncology phase trials
• Strong analytical skills coupled with communication skills to present findings and relevant data
• Ability to survey and interpret scientific literature related to assigned projects
• Strong organizational skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment while prioritizing and responding to changing business needs
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams and champion and drive solutions for clinical challenges
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Ability to interface with health authorities and represent clinical programs with integrity, polish, and professionalism

The expected salary range for this is $220,000-$280,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This is a full-time remote position (40 hours/week). Occasional evening, weekend, holiday, and on-call work may be required as job duties demand. Occasional travel may be required.
