About the Role

A leading global freight forwarder is seeking an experienced Customs Entry Writer to join their team in Iselin, NJ. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment and has a strong understanding of U.S. Customs regulations and import procedures.

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare and submit accurate customs entries for air and ocean import shipments
2. Classify goods using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS)
3. Ensure compliance with CBP regulations and other government agencies
4. Communicate with customs officials, clients, and internal teams to resolve entry issues
5. Monitor shipment documentation and maintain accurate records
6. Handle post-entry amendments, duty calculations, and audits as needed

Qualifications

1. 2+ years of experience in customs brokerage or import operations
2. Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations and HTS classification
3. Experience with ABI systems and customs entry software
4. High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
5. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
